West District Ski Night at Cataloochee Ski Resort

Thursday, February 23 registration from 3:30 to 6pm

Haywood County 4-H will handle registration from 3:30pm to 6pm at the lodge.  Discounted rates are available to 4-Hers and 4-H families.  The rates are $20 for lift ticket only, $26 for ski rental and lift ticket, and $35 for snowboard rental and lift ticket.  Please sign-up by calling the Extension Center at 456-3575 by Friday, February 10 so the resort can prepare adequate number of ski instructors.  Please bring a snack, the West District is planning a community hospitality for the evening. 

New! Haywood County 4-H Youth Council

Thursday, February 16 at 3:30pm at Extension Center

Haywood County 4-H Youth Council is open to all high school aged youth in Haywood County.  This will be a youth- lead, youth- organized, and youth empowered council. The council combines the traditional Cherokee council form of government, were everyone sat equally at the table each with a voice, with the 4-H “learn by doing” mentality.  Youth council members will create local leadership and community service opportunities that will help address local challenges.  The first Meeting will be February 16 at 3:30 at the Extension Center.  Please call the Extension Center at 456-3575 to sign-up.
