Basic Car Maintenance Monday, October 3 from 3:30 to 5pm at Waynesville Tire

No heroes or damsels in distress here! As 4-Hers’ sprout wings and fly away off to college next fall; it is important to know what kind of equipment you need to have on hand to deal with a basic car repair, how to change a tire, and maintenance and upkeep involved with your vehicle. Waynesville Tire will have a mechanic on hand to show youth practical steps involved with being proactive and empowered to take care of your first vehicle.

Resume Workshop Tuesday, September 27 from 3:30 to 5pm at Extension Center

Designed for 4-Her's who are putting together their first resume for college applications, first summer job, and competing for national 4-H trips in the Application, Resume, Interview and Essay (ARIE) competition. Haywood County Employment Security Commission will give a presentation on how to format an eye catching resume, basics of filling out an application and look over a first draft of your resume. Haywood County Fair

Come to the Haywood County Fair Wednesday, August 24 through Sunday August 28. All youth exhibits including baked goods, canned goods, crafts, photos, garden vegetables, clothing, fresh fruits, and cut flowers are on display in the Dogwood Center. Along with the great fair entries from both youth and adults there are carnival rides, Bingo, Fish Fry, Farm-Fresh Day, Fireman's Competition, Smoky Mountain Jamboree, and petting zoo.
The entry fee is $2 per person or $6 per car.
