MARK YOUR CALENDERS!

The 4-H community is getting together for the holidays and we really want you to be there to celebrate another fantastic year in 4-H! We will play some really fun holiday games and eat a great holiday dinner. Please bring a dish or dessert for everyone to enjoy. We will also look back at the great accomplishments of 2008 and get excited about the NC 4-H centennial celebration next year.

We encourage everyone to come and vote for your 2009 County Council!

West District Leaders Meeting and Training

Friday, November 21st there will be West District Volunteer Leaders Association meeting and Volunteer Leader training in Asheville starting at 6:00 PM. Please call us at 456-3575 to reserve a seat. A couple of veteran 4-H leaders will be teaching two different ACE trainings that will be VERY HELPFUL to you as a volunteer leader. One class will be for newer volunteers and one for more experienced ones. Nick will be driving a van that will leave the Haywood County Extension Office at 5:00 PM taking anyone who wants to attend.

The North Carolina 4-H Master Volunteer Achievement in Continuing Education (ACE) program is designed to assist volunteers in the development of specialized skills as 4-H volunteers by participating in quality training experiences, processing learning experiences, conducting service activities/projects, and developing a Master Volunteer ACE portfolio. With this letter is a flier with all of the training information. Many 4-H Leaders from Haywood County have been, and are still involved in the ACE Program.
Please Call Nick or Dan at 456-3575 to REGISTER BY NOVEMBER 17th!
